You can use the Tasteladder wine finder without an account and without giving us your name. We only store an email address if you choose to ask us to email your taste profile, and we keep anonymous, aggregate usage data to improve the product.

What we collect

• Your inputs to the finder (taste sliders, food, budget, preferences) are used to compute your recommendations in real time. They are not tied to your identity.
• Anonymous usage events - which features are used, how far people get through the quiz, whether the age gate is answered - help us improve the experience. These are not linked to a personal profile.
• Your email address - only if you submit it to receive your taste profile or our wine emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• An age-confirmation cookie stored for 30 days so we don't re-ask whether you're of legal drinking age.

How we use it

To generate your recommendations, deliver the emails you request, understand aggregate product usage, and meet our legal obligation to restrict access to those of legal drinking age. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies (such as the age-gate confirmation) and privacy-conscious analytics to measure aggregate usage. Affiliate partners you click through to operate under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can decline the email capture entirely and still use every feature. To have a captured email removed, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.
